Homework, Classwork and Grades
6th, 7th and 8th grade teachers communicate homework and classwork through Schoology. Schoology will open directly into student accounts when they log in through CLEVER, on all school issued chrome books.
Parents can monitor student's assignments through Schoology, and grades (and check for missing assignments) through Powerschool, by using the login information that you received at the beginning of the school year. Don't hesitate to check in with the main office, if you need assistance logging into Powerschool or Schoology.

Challenge
The Challenge program at JFH provides a variety of enrichment activities for students including electives, curriculum resource instruction, and a "pull-out" program.
Challenges of the Mind courses are offered in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. Students who do not enroll in the elective courses will be seen through "pull-out" programs once to twice a month. All Challenge courses stimulate creative and critical thinking skills for students. The students solve problems in fun, uniques ways using different strategies and learning styles. Students are encouraged to discover alternative solutions to unusual problems. Courses will offer hands-on activities and project-based learning where students will be actively involved in creative problem-solving.
