JMU Competition

On Wednesday, 15 J. Frank Hillyard students attended the FBLA Middle School Xchange competition. These students, along with students from other Rockingham County Middle Schools, Augusta County, and Staunton City schools, gathered at the Festival Center on the James Madison University campus.

Students, in groups of 3 or 4, were tasked with inventing a product that would help solve a problem. Then, with some random supplies, make a prototype.

The winning team, consisting of Sophia Raymond, Bailey Morris, Cora Dove, and Hartly Shipe, created the "Steel Heel" to prevent shoes from wearing out in the same place.
